The Toy Factory Lofts were repurposed into 121 live-work condominiums between 2002 & 2004 by developer LinearCity. The building that houses the Toy Factory Lofts sits in Downtown Los Angeles‘ Arts District and was originally constructed in 1924 as a warehouse. Originally associated with the now defunct Santa Fe Railroad, the building retains to this day a unique north elevation, which is curved to follow the arc of the previous Santa Fe Railroad spur. In 1974 the building was converted into a toy factory creating the impetus for its current name, the Toy Factory Lofts.
Unique features of the Toy Factory Lofts including an elevated sidewalk along Industrial Street and two oversized elevators. Residences vary by floor with the first and mezzanine floors offering retail live-work layouts, select 3rd floor units including private gardens & balconies, and 7th floor penthouses that boast higher ceilings and quicker access to the rooftop pool and deck.
