Originally the west coast headquarters and 7-story factory for the National Biscuit Company, dating back to 1925, the Biscuit Company Lofts include 104 live/work lofts transformed by developer Linear City LLC in conjunction with Aleks Istanbullu Architects between 2006 and 2007. The Biscuit Company Lofts, which sit in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, blend original craftsmanship and architectural integrity with an array of modern conveniences and contemporary design. With units ranging from 605 to as much as 6,000 square feet, varying from one to four stories, and boasting ceiling heights of 13′, 16′ 20′ or 30′, the building can accommodate a wide variety of live-work needs.
Amenities at the Biscuit Company Lofts include, a 75-foot-long saline swimming pool, a full gym, as well as a 24-hour doorman. In 2007 the Biscuit Company Lofts were designated a historical monument qualifying residents for property tax discounts under the Mills Act Program.
